  • Professor of Public International Law and International Relations. Carlos III University of Madrid (since 2005). Tenured Professor at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (1994), University of Extremadura (1998-2000) and researcher at the University of Zaragoza (1988-1990). Guest lecturer in the Salvador de Madariaga program, at the University of Notre Dame (USA, 2009) and at the Institut des Hautes Etudes Internationales de la Sorbonne, France (2001). He is Professor at the Army War College and the Diplomatic School, and guest lecturer in several Spanish and foreign Universities.
  • Director of the Time of Peace Magazine since 2015 (edited by the Movement for Peace, Disarmament, and Freedom) (He has published 123 issues since 1983).
  • Director of the Ibero-American Electronic Magazine since its founding in 2007 (edited by the Rey Juan Carlos University and the Carlos III University of Madrid).
  • Secretary of the Spanish Journal of International Law (1994-1997). Member of the Scientific Council of the Spanish Yearbook of International Law, of the Journal of Rights and Freedoms and of the Spanish Journal of International Relations. Co-director of the Electronic Collection, the Collection of International Conflicts (edited with the Army War College) and the Culture of Peace Collection (published by Unesco-Getafe), Institute of International and European Studies Francisco de Vitoria.
  • Director of the Globalization, Integration and International Cooperation Research Group of the Carlos III University of Madrid (with thirty researchers) since 2005. Four six-year research (to 13-XII-2013). Principal Investigator of three R & D projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology of Spain (National Program of Knowledge, until 2018). Researcher for other projects of the European Union, United Nations, Fund for the Development of Indigenous Peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean, Sustainable Development Fund, World Bank, Spanish Agency for International Cooperation and Development, Spanish Institute for Strategic Studies, Carlos III University of Madrid own program, etc.
  • Member of the Scientific Councils of the Ibero-American Studies Center of the Rey Juan Carlos University, Bartolomé de las Casas Human Rights Institute (Carlos III University of Madrid). Has been a member of the Institute of Intelligence, the Carlos III University of Madrid - National Distance Education University (UNED) Cultural Communication Institute, among others.
  • Director of the Solidarity, Culture and Human Rights cooperation group, which promotes cooperation projects of the Carlos III University of Madrid, since 2016. He is a member of the Advisory Board of the Carlos III University of Madrid Cooperation Office. 
  • Director of the Master in International Solidarity in Europe of the Carlos III University of Madrid (in collaboration with the Spanish Red Cross, Cideal and the Spanish Commission for Refugee Assistance).
  • Co-director of the Expert Title on Indigenous Peoples, Human Rights and International Cooperation of the Carlos III University of Madrid, which is organized in collaboration with the Fund for the Development of Indigenous Peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean and its Intercultural Indigenous University program.
