THE INTERNATIONAL CENTRE FOR ARBITRATION, MEDIATION AND NEGOTIATION (CIAMEN) 

The International Centre for Arbitration, Mediation and Negotiation (CIAMEN) of the Royal University Institute for European Studies is an academic centre for research, teaching and dissemination of all issues related to arbitration and alternative dispute resolution methods.

CIAMEN is one of the specialised centres of the Royal University Institute for European Studies of the CEU San Pablo University, which has been recognised by the European Union as a Jean Monnet European Centre of Excellence, and collaborates closely with other universities and research centres, chambers of commerce, international courts and organisations and entities specialised in these matters. Its official working languages are Spanish and English.

 

OBJECTIVES

The main objective is to establish a forum for discussion and analysis in this area from an international perspective, and to serve as a documentation, research and publication centre for the academic community as well as for companies, lawyers, international organisations and public administrations.
