Master’s Degree Information
The Executive Master’s in International Business Law is a joint program developed by the Royal University Institute of Studies, led by José María Beneyto, director of the Royal Institute, and Jerónimo Maillo González-Orus, director of the Center for Competition Policy and Regulation (CPCR). Hugo Cardona also serves as the program coordinator.

In today’s world, the international practice area is emerging as one of the greatest demands on legal professionals, and this trend is expected to grow over the years. We can see this in:
- Spanish law firms with a growing international presence
- Multinational law firms setting up operations in Spain
- Legal advisory services for companies—whether Spanish or multinational—that are also operating in an increasingly globalized environment
Furthermore, this global nature of the demands requires people who:
- Have a thorough understanding of the legal issues—both domestic and international—involved in the cross-border transactions on which they are consulted
- Be able to work comfortably in various countries and/or with international clients
