Summary and Objectives
The Master’s Degree in European Union Studies is a program offered by the Real Instituto Universitario de Estudios Europeos, a research center chaired by Jaime Mayor Oreja and designated as a Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence by the European Commission, in collaboration with the Instituto Universitario Ortega-Marañón. Launched in 2010, the program is an official university Master’s degree, meaning it is fully accredited and valid throughout the national territory as well as within the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).
The aim of the Master’s Degree is to provide students with specialist training in subjects that enable them to analyse European integration from a multidisciplinary perspective: historical, political, economic, legal and social. The programme takes a strongly practical approach, based on active participation, the use of the case study method, and the presentation of both group and individual projects.
Another feature of the programme is the option to study the master’s degree either on campus or online.
