International Centre for Arbitration, Mediation and Negotiation (CIAMEN)

The International Centre for Arbitration, Mediation and Negotiation (CIAMEN) at the Royal University Institute of European Studies is an academic centre dedicated to research, teaching, and outreach on all matters related to arbitration and alternative dispute resolution methods.

CIAMEN

CIAMEN is part of the specialized centers of the Royal University Institute for European Studies at CEU San Pablo University, which has been recognized by the European Union as a Jean Monnet Center of Excellence, and works closely with other universities and research centers, chambers of commerce, international courts, and organizations and entities specializing in these fields. Its official working languages are Spanish and English.

One of CIAMEN’s flagship programs is the Advanced Course in Arbitration, a leading training program in the legal field that offers you the opportunity to become a certified member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb). With over a decade of experience, the course combines academic excellence, a practical approach, and an international focus.

CIAMEN’s Objectives

The main objective is to establish a forum for discussion and analysis in this field from an international perspective, and to serve as a center for documentation, research, and publications for the academic community, as well as for businesses, lawyers, international organizations, and government agencies.

INTERNATIONAL CENTER FOR ARBITRATION, MEDIATION, AND NEGOTIATION (CIAMEN)

The Master’s Degree in European Union Studies is an official, bilingual and multidisciplinary programme designed for professional practice, which provides you with the tools and knowledge needed to gain a thorough understanding of the European Union.
