“QUO VADIS, EUROPA”, with Fabrice Hadjadj and Rémi Brague
The Royal University Institute of European Studies at CEU San Pablo University is pleased to present the event ‘Quo vadis, Europe?’, which will take place on 24 February 2026 at 7.30 pm in the Aula Magna at CEU San Pablo University (23 Julián Romea Street).
The event, to be held in Spanish, will feature Fabrice Hadjadj and Rémi Brague, two of the most prominent European thinkers on the contemporary intellectual scene. Through an open dialogue, the two will reflect on the direction of Europe, its cultural foundations, its current crises and the prospects that lie ahead for the European project
- Fabrice Hadjadj (Nanterre, 1971) is a philosopher and essayist, the author of over forty books, including Having a Body, The Depth of the Sexes and What Is a Family?, which are seminal works in contemporary philosophical anthropology.
- Rémi Brague (Paris, 1947) is a philosopher and historian of ideas, a distinguished member of the Académie Française, and the author of works such as Europe: The Roman Way, The Law of God and The Kingdom of Man—essential texts for understanding the European intellectual tradition and its roots.
This event is being held to mark the official launch of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence on the Future Challenges of Europe, a prestigious award granted by the European Commission to internationally renowned academic projects that promote excellence in teaching, research and public debate on the European Union and its key challenges.
The award of this distinction places our Institute and CEU San Pablo University among the European institutions called upon to make a significant contribution to the debate on the future of Europe.
