Conference “Reinforcing the unity and competitiveness of the EU Single Market”

The Institute for European Studies of the CEU San Pablo University is pleased to announce that Mr. Michel Barnier, Commissioner for Internal Market and Services of the European Union, will deliver the conference “Le renforcement de l’unité et de la competitivité du marché intérieur européen” on the 20th September 2013 from 12:30 to 13:30 at the Faculty of Economics, Salón de Grados, C/ Julián Romea, 22, Madrid. Mr. Íñigo Méndez de Vigo, Secretary of State for EU Affairs will accompany Mr. Barnier on this occasion. The language of the conference is French and there will be Spanish translation avalaible.

This conference is meant to explore the potentialities that a better integrated and united market, free of internal barriers, can offer to foster growth, productivity and innovation in the current context of economic downturn.

This academic event will launch the International Conference on "Fostering Growth: Reinforcing the Internal Market" to be held on the 28th and 29th of October 2013, as part of an ambitious research project funded by the Jean Monnet Lifelong Learning Programme of the EU Commission.
