The Centre for Competition Policy and Regulation (CPCR) is a section of the Royal University Institute of European Studies that specialises in the study of competition law and policy, as well as market regulation. It has an interdisciplinary character, its main aspects being legal and economic. It is a forum for debate and reflection on:

  • The use of the instrument of Competition in politics and society today.
  • The articulation of Competition in present and future national, community and international regulations.
  • The regulation and functioning of the Pan-European Single Market.
  • The processes of liberalization, privatization and regulation of economic sectors such as, among others, telecommunications, energy, transport, financial services or postal services.

These are the main activities developed by the Centre for Competition Policy.
